What we collect

Account: your email address, which we use to send sign-in codes, and your public handle and display name.

What you do on Tapverse: games you publish and their versions, likes, comments, follows and reports.

Play statistics: when a game is opened and how long it stays on screen, linked to your account if you're signed in, or to a random identifier stored in your browser if you're not. Creators see only totals (plays, unique players, time played), never who played.

Technical data: like any website, our hosting providers process your IP address, browser and device information to deliver the service and keep it secure.

Camera and microphone

Some games ask to use your camera or microphone. Tapverse asks you first, and then your browser asks again. The game, which is made by an independent creator, receives that audio or video directly; Tapverse's own servers don't record or store it. Read the reason each game gives before allowing access.

How we use it

To run Tapverse (sign-in, publishing, feeds, multiplayer rooms), to show creators statistics about their games, to keep the service safe (moderation, abuse prevention), and to contact you about your account.

We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Service providers that host and run Tapverse for us, such as Supabase (database and sign-in) and Cloudflare (hosting, game delivery and multiplayer). They may only use it to provide their services to us.

Your public profile, published games, comments and follows are visible to everyone.

We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people's safety.

Cookies and storage

We store in your browser your sign-in session, your language choice, likes you gave before signing in, which games you allowed to use your camera or microphone, and the random identifier used for play statistics. We don't use advertising cookies today; if that changes we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

Children

Tapverse is not directed to children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can delete your account at any time from the Creator Studio; this removes your profile, games, likes, comments and follows (play statistics are kept without any link to you). You can also ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by writing to privacy@playtapverse.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union) you may have additional rights, and we will honor them as required by law.

We keep information while your account is open and for a limited time afterwards when needed for security, legal or backup reasons.
